Images of Cape Breton was the name of an art project  which began in the late 1970's.  At that time we were a group of young and impressionable photographers who travelled throughout Cape Breton pointing the shiny end of the camera at whatever was interesting.  Film was our medium and the darkroom our studio.  Many great photos arose from that time.  Most importantly, each of us had a different viewpoint on each scene.  There was no social media or internet presence, so we used various public venues to display our works.

Today I am revisiting those roots and producing new "Images of Cape Breton".  Memory cards and computers have taken over the media and studio work.  Images are still made with the eye long before the shutter is clicked but introducing our photography to the public is easier than ever!  These are some of my favourite photos of our beautiful island.  I hope you enjoy them.
